The leggy blonde beauty that is Blake Lively is basically our body inspo. At 5’8”, Blake knows that her muscular legs are one of her best features, which is why she never hesitates to show them off.
She is a connoisseur of the cocktail dress and has been spotted in every shade, in every shade, and at any event.
JJ’s House designer Jessica has noticed that we are not alone in our love for Blake Lively’s fashion choices.
“We have tons of women who come looking for cocktail dresses similar to ones they saw Blake Lively wearing,” Jessica says. From movie premieres to benefits, to club openings, Blake Lively knows how to showcase her amazing body.
While we may not have Blake’s fabulous legs, handsome husband, or oodles of money, we can still get inspired by her gorgeous cocktail dresses! Here are five cocktail dresses of Blake Lively’s that we’d like to emulate.
- The black, Victoria Beckham cocktail dress she wore to a New York benefit
Victoria Beckham’s dresses are becoming something of a staple within fashionable circles, so it’s no surprise that Blake was spotted out in one! The business-suit inspired, black peplum dress made Lively’s curves even more dramatic. The nipped in waist and full, tailored shoulders created an impressive silhouette, while the short skirt uncovered miles of Lively’s legs.
- The burgundy sequin stunner she wore to Gucci’s fragrance launch
The light-catching, Gucci mini dress Blake wore to the launch of the company’s fragrance (of which she was the spokesperson, of course) hugged every inch of Lively’s body. The low, V-cut and the ruffled shoulder added drama and height to the dress, while the bold, deep red sequins shimmered in the flashbulbs. It was a real, Hollywood dress that we would wear every day if we could.
- The white, long-sleeved, backless cocktail dress she wore to the opening of the Swarovski Crystallized Concept store
What we loved about this dress were its little surprises. From the front, the dress was demure. Close-fitting, with mesh cutout panels on the hips, the high-necked, long-sleeved, Robert Cavalli dress seemed almost office friendly. However, the moment Lively turned her back to the camera, we saw the reason this dress was worthy of an evening out in New York: the entire thing was backless. Cut straight down to the hips where those mesh panels met up, this dress showed off Lively’s incredible body in a unique way.
- The creamy cocktail dress she wore to the Late Show with David Letterman
Diamante, criss-cross straps across the chest, a peekaboo cutout on the chest, and a faux wrap style all made this white satin chiffon cocktail dress a favorite of ours. The faux wrap skirt added movement to the dress while the gem-encrusted straps caught the light. Long-sleeved, the dress also featured diamante encrusted cuffs. Lively had her hair has pulled back in loose, cascading curls, with a pair of stud diamond earrings to match the dress’ bling.
