We’re looking to find small firms of the highest calibre where quality, culture, innovation and service are all key. We’re not looking for the biggest, we’re looking for the best. We’re looking for SMEs with personality, and an approach to their business and customers that really stands out from the crowd.
Our team of judges includes Business Matters’ Online Editor Rebecca Jones, columnist Clare Bampton, and Chairman of Business Matters owners Capital Business Media, Richard Alvin, who is leading the effort to find the UK’s 12 most fabulous firms every year. If you’re the winning business, you’ll get to use the Award logo on your website and in any marketing you wish to do, and Clare will craft a column to share with the world on why the Business Matters’ team has chosen your company as a showcase SME.
We’ve already had a number of entries since making the page live on our website less than two days ago. For example, we’ve already seen great entries from hotel sales support company Director of Sales Ltd, veterinary CPD provider Improve International and business support firm Business Aid UK. Why not join them and apply now?
Richard Alvin says: “As the leading business magazine for SMEs in the UK we think it’s vital to recognise the contribution that these businesses make to our economy, culture and society. We hear about so many outstanding firms that do an amazing job every day, but never share their success or get recognised for it. We hope that at least 12 times a year we can shed some light on some of our SME successes and let the world know, at least in our small way, that these SME of the Month winners are, in our opinion, some of the best in Britain.”
The SME of the Month is awarded each calendar month. You need to have applied by the 25th of each month to be considered for that calendar month and the winner will be announced at the end of each calendar month. Following your online application, one of the Business Matters’ judges may contact you to ask some follow-up questions – we know we will receive some exceptional entries and it’s going to be difficult to choose a winner so we will want to make sure we have all the information we need to make a fair choice. If you are the winner of the SME of the Month title, our columnist Clare Bampton will contact you to let you know.
If you think you have what it takes to be our SME on the month you can apply here!
