London startup Weengs looks to bring Uber-like convenience to customers

Drawing inspiration from American transportation company Uber, Weengs users simply take a picture of the unpacked item they would like to send via their app and press the ‘Pickup Now’ button. A ‘Weengs Angel’ is immediately dispatched to their home or office to collect the item within 15 minutes of the request.

The items are packed and the delivered and distributed by one of Weengs’ partner carriers, which include Royal Mail, ParcelForce and Hermes, for example.

Shipping parcels of all shapes and sizes, Weengs can shift packages up to 20kg and also offer two express delivery services which guarantee the item to arrive by the date given by the app.

Currently operating out of London, Weengs is hoping to branch out and claims that they are “rapidly expanding.”

Following on from June 15th when the project was launched, Greg Zontanos, Co-Founder at Weengs, explains his inspiration behind his company.

“With on-demand TV, 24 hour shopping and services like Uber on the market, consumers now regularly expect instant gratification. So we built Weengs with that in mind, creating a service that made it easy to ship anything, anywhere for the best price at the tap of a button.”
