The announcement from PayPal, which started in the 1990s processing eBay payments, that it will release a portable card reader directed at small businesses and independent sellers came just hours after izettle, a new kid on the mobile payment block, announced a similar offering.

PayPal says that their offering will put an end to small retailers who do not accept cards turning away customers without cash.
