New online property rental platform raises further £900K

The company, which completely cuts out letting agents, plans to be the largest peer-to-peer global rental platform and will launch in two to three international cities, in addition to London, in the next 12 to 18 months.

Movebubble’s founders, former property agent Aidan Rushby, marketer Logan Hall and lawyer Tony Edwards have identified the fragmented rental market as ready for disruption. CEO, Aidan Rushby said, “Other property platforms still support the estate and letting agency model, i.e. someone taking a substantial cut in the middle – we’re not an online agency. We provide a completely new, transparent community marketplace for any product or service involved in the rental process.”

A collaborative platform, the Movebubble community lets owners and renters communicate directly using technology to replace what was traditionally done by agents. From listing a property, booking viewings, making and accepting an offer, creating and signing a rental agreement to paying rent and deposits, Movebubble lets you do everything in one place without added complication and the cost of a middle person. Once the user finds and negotiates an agreement for a chosen property, a one off £50 fee is paid to reserve it and remove it from the marketplace.

Members can use accounts on social media sites such as Facebook and LinkedIn to build their Movebubble profile, gaining ratings and references from peers, employers and previous landlords.

Aidan continues: “Movebubble offers a range of free tools for property owners that will let them rent and manage a property from anywhere in the world. We give access to information and services currently monopolised by letting agents and reference services, in a way that’s better suited to Generation Rent – renters who are used to managing most of their lives online.”
