Scaramouche & Fandango specialises in body and skincare product for men and was launched in February of last year by two friends Kenny Harmel and Ian Linaker. Despite competing against well-known and established brands, it has experienced significant growth and sold 20,000 tubes since October alone. In order to continue growing at this speed, it is now turning to Crowdcube, to raise £150,000.
The distinctive range, which is made in the UK, is stocked in a number of renowned retailers including John Lewis, Selfridges, Fenwick and Waitrose. It is aimed at men who want premium quality, intuitive and no-nonsense products that aren’t simply extensions of female brands.
The investment will allow the business to grow its brand footprint on shelf and introduce a number of new product lines, currently in development, to market. The funding will also be used to leverage economies of scale, capitalise on growing international opportunities and increase the brand’s marketing activity.
Ian Linaker, co- founder said: “We’ve worked tirelessly, investing time and money, to make Scaramouche & Fandango what it is today but now need external help to give us an extra push. The male grooming market is worth £1.05 billion in the UK and £21.2 billion worldwide and with growing interest in our range and significant opportunities in the pipeline it’s a really exciting time for us. With a cash injection we will be able to maximise these opportunities and make a real impact in the male grooming sector.”
Scaramouche & Fandango are hoping to raise £150,000 for a 12.5% equity stake in the business. To find out more and become a part of their journey visit their pitch.
