Alongside partners Cathay Pacific, DHL Express UK, and Experian, [ilink url=”http://www.www.exportbritain.org.uk”]Export Britain[/ilink] showcases the opportunities in key international markets, and the support available from British Chambers and British Business Groups in the UK and around the world. This follows the announcement from Vince Cable, Business Secretary, at their International Trade Conference last month, of the renewed commitment from the government in the creation of a global business to business network, to support UK exporters.
David Riches, Commercial Director at the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) said: “UK Exporters tell us that they need personal connections to help them enter new markets and open doors to opportunities. With the UK Chambers, and the British Chambers Overseas, being the go-to business network for businesses looking to export, the British Chambers of Commerce is delighted to launch Export Britain to put UK exporters in touch with the support they need.”
Roberto Abbondio, Head of Sales and Marketing for UK & Ireland at Cathay Pacific added: “As Hong Kong’s flagship carrier, we have been flying business people between the UK and Hong Kong, and on into China and South East Asia, for the last 30 years. We are delighted to support Export Britain and together we will continue to promote, encourage and strengthen business links between these regions.”
Max Firth, UK Managing Director for Experian’s Business Information Services division, said: “Experian recently published analysis that revealed hundreds of thousands of businesses in the UK that have strong potential and ability to export, but are currently not exporting. Initiatives like Export Britain from the British Chamber of Commerce, along with support from government departments such as UKTI, are a much needed steer in the right direction to encourage and nurture UK companies looking to trade internationally.”
