A Swindon-based company has raised almost £2,000 for mental health charity, Mind.
The outsourced contact centre, Woven which is headquartered in Swindon has raised £1,881 for Gloucester Mind as part of their annual charity activity.
Each year Woven choose a charity to support. The latest charity to receive support from Woven is Mind,who provide advice, support and services to help anyone experiencing mental health problems in the Swindon and Gloucestershire regions.
Over the past twelve months, Woven have used key dates in the calendar such as Valentine’s Day, Halloween and Easter to raise money for Mind , undertaking activities such as bake sales, dress down days and jewellery making.
Sue Baker, Team Leader at Woven said: “I am very proud to be part of the charity team and working in a company who supports the local community, whether it’s giving time to helping local charities or coming up with fundraising ideas/events throughout the year which involves everyone at Woven Swindon.
“I know I can speak on behalf of the whole site when I say it’s hard work, but the brilliant team effort which keeps us motivated to fundraise and on the back of this, the satisfaction we feel at the end of the year when the funds we raise are helping others less fortunate than us.”
Carney Bonner, Senior Lead from Swindon and Gloucestershire Mind added: “It is great to have companies that fundraise for their local Mind charity. The money that was raised by Woven will help us continue with our work in the community. Swindon and Gloucestershire Mind help a number of different people in the Swindon and Gloucestershire area.
“The money that has been raised will go into our Swindon service to continue delivering our community programme which allows members to access a number of different sessions based around the five way to wellbeing. We would like to thank Woven and all of its employees for the amazing work they are doing to give back to the community”
