The digital revolution is creating a tremendous disruption in every facet of our lives. What is the impact on our world when robots, drones and the use of virtual reality become commonplace? Learn how disruptive technologies, as critical agents of change, are creating new realities in the future at the second edition of the Smart Nation Innovations Week, to be held in Singapore from May 17 – 21, 2016.

Tech innovators and business leaders such as Peter Vesterbacka (founder of Angry Birds), Rob LoCascio (Founder of LivePerson), Taavet Hinrikus (Co-founder, Transferwise), Scott Spirit (Chief Digital Officer of WPP) and to name a few, will be sharing their innovation strategy to ensure survival in the digital tomorrow during the Smart Nation Innovations Week

Comprising of four pillar events – InnovFest unBound, Forbes Under 30 Summit Asia, Tech Saturday, Big Bang Data – , the Smart Nation Innovations Week will reach out to more than 15,000 local and international participants across different communities, driven by a common interest to share ideas on harnessing emerging technologies to develop innovative solutions for everyday challenges.

The events will bring together key players in the global and local tech ecosystems, including tech innovators, data developers, corporates and brands, start-ups, investors, researchers, government representatives as well as Asia’s top young innovators to exchange valuable insights and spark new collaborations, thus reinforcing Singapore’s position as a leading innovation hub for cutting edge technologies in the world.

Initiated by the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA), the Smart Nation Innovations Week returns for its second edition with a bigger line up of events offering a more varied programme. With the theme “Tech Meets Innovation”, the series of events will showcase Singapore’s most innovative start-ups and latest disruptive technologies from leading tech companies and corporate brands.

Steve Leonard, Executive Deputy Chairman, IDA said: “Singapore has the resources to be a leading player in imagining and building disruptive technology.  Our goal now is to be an exciting place where great research leads to great products in ways that make a worldwide impact, such as the future of healthcare and transportation.”

“We see Singapore as a strong ecosystem of big corporates, investors, academics, scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs.  All of these roles, and many more, are the foundation to pursuing our Smart Nation vision.”
