Amongst the selected guests, at the event held at 10 Downing Street, international interiors and product designer, Kelly Hoppen MBE, was recognised as an official ambassador for the GREAT Campaign the UK’s most ambitious international promotional campaign ever.
Having started her business aged 16, Kelly is globally known for her interior and product design, Kelly has championed the GREAT campaign for a number of years. As part of her role, Kelly will promote British Creativity, business and design overseas.
Speaking about her appointment Hoppen said: “I have long supported GREAT Campaign so it is an honour to be recognised as an official ambassador. It is important to me to back British brands and business and to do my part to promote growth in my industry”
The designer awarded an MBE in 2013 continued “I look forward to continue working with partners of this campaign and hope that my involvement can make a considerable difference to help expand Great Britain’s status in the global marketplace.”
With nearly 40 years in the industry, Kelly has a vast network of global contacts and her ambassadorial duties will include actively supporting and encouraging UK design and creativity. She will also continue to work with UK Trade & Investments to raise awareness and promote the benefits of exporting for SMEs.
