James Caan’s Recruitment Entrepreneur Company Set To Continue Investing Spree

James Caan has announced that his Venture Capital Company Recruitment Entrepreneur is accepting applications from entrepreneurs wanting to start or grow a recruitment business of scale.

Still in its first year of trading, Recruitment Entrepreneur has already invested over £2million in 8 startups, making it the fastest growing recruitment seed capital fund in the UK.

Having received over 1500 applications and seen over 200 pitches during the previous funding rounds, Caan is convinced that the appetite for business is stronger than ever.

“What we’re seeing is a renewed confidence amongst people that want to become their own boss. Experienced recruiters who have a passion for their industry and solid business acumen now recognise the opportunities available to them. We’re currently backing a new business every month, which is a fantastic rate in any industry. I think what makes Recruitment Entrepreneur so appealing is that we don’t just offer capital. We offer support and mentorship in every single area of business – for example marketing, finance, legal and IT – leaving the entrepreneurs free to do what they do best which is growing their business.”

The most recent investment was in the newly formed startup Hanami International. Hanami is an audit and finance recruitment company that places candidates on a truly global basis. The founders Andy Bell, Paul Miller and Matt Harrison have over 20 years’ of combined experience, working for some of the most prestigious companies in the recruitment industry. Having launched in June 2014, they are already on course to become a market leader, growing to 11 heads and generating over £100,000 in fees.

CEO Bell said that the support Hanami have got from the Recruitment Entrepreneur team before, during and after the launch has played a major part in their success:

“The preparation we received from the team before we went in to pitch to James was so detailed, and once he signed off on the investment we received extensive support in every aspect of the business.

In our first 90 days, we have exceeded expectations both in terms of billings and headcount growth and we really couldn’t have done this without the backing we’ve received. We have big ambitions and are certain that Recruitment Entrepreneur are the people to take us there.”

The deadline for this round of funding applications is Friday 26th September at 5pm.
