Deliveroo is giving couples chance to win £1,500 wedding breakfast for digital lockdown nuptials

Couples with April, May and even June weddings have been forced to postpone or cancel their nuptials due to the coronavirus pandemic, as social distancing regulations and lockdown enforcements making a wedding at the moment virtually impossible.

To help those who are now planning to host their vows digitally instead, Deliveroo is offering one lucky couple the chance to win a £1,500 virtual wedding breakfast.

Deliveroo will credit the couple with the funds on its site and these can be used to put towards cake, champagne and chef-cooked food as a way to compensate for the missed-out meals on their planned big days.

Arabella Jenkins at Deliveroo, says: “We want to celebrate love during lockdown, so we’re looking for couples whose big day is going digital.

“Just because your wedding day might be postponed doesn’t mean the date shouldn’t still be celebrated. We’re here to deliver the ultimate wedding breakfast for one lucky couple who’ve decided to host a virtual wedding ceremony, which they can spend all on themselves or share amongst close friends and family.”

To enter, prospective couples can tag @Deliveroo on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook, using the hashtag #SayIDoWithDeliveroo and share their virtual wedding plans for the chance to have Deliveroo cater their ceremony.

The funds can be kept for yourself or shared among your virtual wedding guests, too.
