UBREW has achieved over £12,000 in pre sales prior to launch, secured a 2650 sq foot property for the brewery on the Bermondsy Beer Mile and has over 60 group memberships. UK Craft Beer sales have reached £225m with growth of 79% in 12 months.
UBREW saw a gap in the market for two types of beer lovers:
1) craft brewers who are passionate about making their own beer
2) bustling entrepreneurs who are looking to start their own sustainable business
So far, the early adopters who’ve signed up are:
- Home Brewers and Craft beer enthusiasts
- Established brewers looking to grow their business
- International brewers looking to break into London
- Corporate memberships / team away days
The investment will mean that UBREW will be able to further develop the company, build the community whilst ensuring they have enough cashflow to fund the exciting next phase of development – including developing their brand new location.
The funds will be invested in:
- The brewery and property fit out
- Brewing equipment / machinery
- Building and paying the operations team
