Straight talking Devey is top choice for business advice

Hilary Devey has become a household business name following her appearance on Dragons’ Den, and now takes the top spot for the celebrity we’d most like to receive business advice from, ahead of the likes of Richard Branson, Karren Brady, George Osbourne and Alan Sugar. according to a survey from Jurys Inn and Cross Country Trains.

Whether it is her feisty attitude, her hands-on approach to business or her determination to succeed, almost a fifth of the business people surveyed by Jurys Inn and Cross Country Trains, would welcome advice from the Dragon.

Proving most popular with under 35’s, the research proves that Devey, who is soon to begin a new Channel 4 series, The Intern, offering ambitious candidates their first step on the career ladder, is increasingly becoming a role model for young hopefuls looking to tackle the business world.

Devey, who came top of the list for both men and women was followed by business mogul Richard Branson and Karren Brady. The Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osbourne took fourth place with a tenth of the votes, followed closely by The Apprentice star, Lord Sugar . Business secretary, Vince Cable, was the least popular candidate we’d like to take business advice from securing just 1 per cent of the votes, only slightly pipping Marks and Spencer’s previous Executive Chairman, Stuart Rose to the post.
