How to choose the Caribbean Island that is best for you


Choosing the perfect vacation destination can sometimes be very overwhelming especially when it comes to the Caribbean.

There are over 7,000 islands in the Caribbean spread over 30 different nations. Almost all of them have perfect beaches, turquoise waters and snow-white sands. But that aside, each of the Caribbean islands has a completely unique character and can be quite diverse.

They are not only culturally diverse, but the Caribbean islands are also geographically diverse. There are some islands that you can walk around in an hour. There are some that you can drive around in an hour and there are some that will take several days to circumnavigate.

So, the big question is how do you choose the perfect island for you if you are first time visitor to the region?  We have made this perplexing decision easier for you by providing the brief pro and cons of some of the most popular Caribbean islands.

If you love, beautiful beaches, fabulous restaurants, five-star luxury accommodation, parties, nature and fashion, then the perfect island for you is St Barths.  It has all of these and more. This tiny island takes about an hour to drive around, but it is incredibly sophisticated and beautiful. Imagine the chicness found in the south of France and combine that with the beauty of the Caribbean. St Barts is also home to some of the best villas in the Caribbean.

If friendly service, warm people, music, culture and incredible scenery are your thing, then head to Jamaica. Jamaica is the island where once you visit once, you will be back year after year. The reason for this is the Jamaican people make all visitors feel special.  

If you can imagine sitting on some of the best beaches in the world, combined with some of the most luxurious villas in the Caribbean, then Turks and Caicos is your best spot. The beaches here are incredible, and many of the vacation rentals are located directly on Grace Bay which is widely considered to be the best beach in the world. The Turks and Caicos Islands are also fantastic for golf and watersports.
