One of the best ways to beat the stress and sharpen your mind again is to play a game, one that requires your attention and allows you to focus on something that isn’t work-related. With any Android smartphone or tablet, you get a huge choice of games to download from the app store but which ones do you go for? Which ones are going to hold your attention and allow you to de-stress in a fun way?

We’ve found five games that are ideal, five games that need you to focus and are somewhat addictive, with the potential to make you completely lose track of time!

Clash Of Clans:

One of the best online multiplayer battle games, Clash of Clans is highly addictive! It is a game of strategy that requires you to build your village and defend it while attacking others. Of course, there is more to it than that – the better you get, the more successful attacks you make, the better and stronger your opponents will be.

Upgrade your village, your weapons, train your soldiers and come up with the very best in offensive and defensive strategies to make your way to the very top – the Champion Class. You can play single-player, join a clan, or create your own and invite others to join you.

Your goal is simple – total annihilation in battles and the very best in defense for your village and, with plenty of features on tap in the app, the opportunities for success are rewarding and a huge amount of fun. Clash of Clans is free to download from the TutuApp VIP Store, but there are in-app purchases.

Clash Royale:

Another incredibly popular multiplayer online game, Clash Royale comes to us from the makers of Clash of Clans. A combination of tower defense, multiplayer battles and collectible cards, the idea is to take down your opponent’s towers while successfully defending yours against attack.

Each duel takes three minutes, and the winner is the one that destroys the most number of towers. Take out your opponent’s central tower, and you automatically win.

The game has more than 50 cards, each one with different strengths, abilities, weaknesses, and stats – you start with 8 and collect more as you go along. To summon a card onto the battlefield, you collect elixir and spend it to beat your opponents with the best possible army at your disposal. This is a game of strategy that takes time to learn, but you are guaranteed a great deal of addictive fun along the way in this free to download the game.

Minecraft:

Minecraft is one of the most well-known games in the world. Once a Windows desktop only game, now it can be played on any platform and is hugely successful. Don’t expect high-end graphics – Minecraft is simple, blocky fun, a game of cubes if you like. But it is also one of the most strategic games – you start in the middle of nowhere, with little to your name, and it’s down to you to survive. Explore your surroundings – head down into caves and mines, search the forests, dig the ground and swim through lakes and seas to find precious resources. Build a home and defend it; raise animals and grow crops for food. Make weapons and beware – once the sun goes down, the creatures start crawling. With many different monsters to face and an almost unlimited arena in which to play, Minecraft is one of the very best games ever to be released for mobile devices.

8-Ball Pool:

8 Ball Pool is a great game for whiling away five minutes when you need a break. The object of the game is simple – pocket the 8 ball to win. You start with a cue ball and 15 balls, a mixture of solid and striped colors and you play in different game rooms against different opponents. You set your goals, targets, and objectives, and idea is to win the most amount of games and level up.

There are chat packs that you can use to communicate with your opponents, but these are preset – free chat is not available in the game. The game rooms simulate real pool halls, and you can see statistics for both you and your opponent on the screen. A free game, there are in-app purchases if you want them, but you don’t need them if all you want to do is de-stress.

GTA Vice City:

The GTA games always have and always will be popular and GTA: Vice City is no exception. Set in the 1980s, the game is played in the third-person perspective. Set in Vice City, which is based very much on Miami, the game centers around real-world events such as biker gangs, Mafioso drug lords, the crack epidemic and more and it’s up to you, as Tommy Vercetti, to complete missions and rise through the ranks to become the boss.

It is a game of action, strategy, and high-end graphics that give it a realistic look and feel, and there are plenty of missions for players to take part in. A warning here – it does contain violent scenes and may not be suitable for players of all ages. GTA Vice City is free to download but, as with most games, there are in-app purchases.

If you are not interested in the in-app purchases and don’t want to find yourself making accidental purchases (It happens!), simply go into your Settings app and disable in-app purchases.

Now you know what to do if you ever find yourself getting stressed out at work and need a break. Take your phone, walk away from your desk and spend five minutes immersed in one of these cool games. Your stress levels will drop, and you will be ready to face whatever the day throws at you.
