Over recent years social media has transformed the way we communicate, bringing people together and giving businesses the opportunity to open up a dialogue with their customers in new and innovative ways. This massive shift has taken the marketing world by surprise, opening up new opportunities, as well as posing new challenges.

A long goodbye
James Max on Gordon Brown still being in denial. Denial that although he has the second biggest number of seats, he and his party lost this election. When I said that bigot meant Brown Is Gone On Thursday, I didn’t say which Thursday.
Why People Don’t Buy from You – Part 2
In this article, leading Sales Expert Andy Preston explains why people don’t buy from you …..and what you can change right now to get their business in the future……..
The Business GP – Appointment Four
It was only last week that I was looking at my travels during 2009. They consisted of 1 trip to Dubai, 2 trips to East Coast USA & 1 to the West Coast, 3 trips to South Africa, 2 each to Poland, Germany, Italy & Spain, 1 to Russia and Turkey.
Decision day is nearly upon us
Bigot. What does it mean? Brown Is Gone On Thursday. Who will fill the void? David Cameron and The Conservatives, or a messy hung parliament? It’s going to be close but a few days are left for you to contemplate what lies ahead and the choice you have to make come election day.
The day Clegg turned am dram
As Greece demonstrates what happens when a nation’s finances deteriorate, watching our Leaders Debate last night you would not know that we have a national debt of nearly a trillion pounds. Apparently tax credits and benefits are more important. Be under no illusion. After the next election massive cuts are on the way. The real debate is whether we can get what we want for less. And who is best to make those cuts.
Life’s not fair
If this election is about two things it’s fairness and change. The Labour party have adopted fairness, the Conservatives change and the Lib Dems sat on the fence and used both. What a cop out.
The final TV debate and the biggest topic – The economy
The final TV debate, to be held on Thursday 29th in Birmingham, will focus upon the economy. The most important element of any future government’s plans to fix our country rest upon sound economic principles. It’s almost time to make up your mind. Forget all the debates so far. This one is the biggy!
Two down & one to go
The Clegg bubble has burst. Politics is back to business as usual.
Gordon Brown started off badly and got worse. The man is in denial. He looked tired, lacked conviction and was forced into an embarrassing position over the content of his party’s election leaflets. Coupled with that smile: Jack Nicholson, playing The Joker!
Mobile Marketing
Mobile gives us a great chance to think again about content delivery and usability. Try using something like the Rightmove iPhone app and compare that to trying to use a web browser on any mobile device. There’s no comparison. The app is in a different league in terms of usability. This is what mobile internet is all about. It’s so simple your dear old Gran could use it – and that’s the holly grail of usability.
Perception isn’t reality
If voters don’t scratch a little deeper, the perceptions they have will vote in a government that will wreck the UK’s economic prospects for a generation.
The Dangers of Ignoring Staff Development
A report recently published in the Training Journal Online stated that almost one in five workers left their jobs last year due to not being given access to adequate training and development. We’re going to take a look at this from the trainer’s viewpoint to see why this is such a danger.
Being popular doesn’t make it right
Call it a SuBo effect if you like, the surge in popularity of Nick Clegg and the Lib Dems is a disaster.
The Business GP – Appointment Three
One of the most fatal and potentially terminal mistakes I see businesses become guilty of is the one of living on past glories.
What an unholy Eton Mess
The conclusion to the first live TV debate in my mind is simple. Gordon Brown is a lost cause and has exposed on live television why he is the worst Prime Minister this nation has ever had. David Cameron has shown how you can throw an election away by lacking in focus, priority and depth. Whilst Nick Clegg has demonstrated that the British public are so naïve that if you wrap rat poison in a pretty ribbon and call it a cup cake – they will eat it all up.
